Cara-rolo Pretzel Fantasticos

If you want to always be invited to the party, be the favorite house for the kids to hang out, be the office sweetheart, whip up a batch of these candies, and you'll instantly become everyones
favorite person to have around.

I can't even remember who told me about this recipe, it was so long ago, but I was reminded about it when my son Steven called me to ask if I could send a few bags of Dove Candies with Caramel in them. Steven loves cashews and caramels, and I had forgotten about these. Marc and his brother Kevin love chocolate covered pretzels, and these combine a bit of everything.

They literally take five minutes to make, it takes longer to unwrap the Rolos, than make the candy. It's very easy...

I don't even know what the name of this recipe is, but this is what I call them:

Cara-rolo Pretzel Fantasticos

1 bag of Pretzel Snaps (the pretzels that look like little waffles)
2 bags of Rolos
1 can of Pecan Halves
1 can of Cashews (whole, salted)

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Place aluminum foil on a cookie sheet, or use disposable aluminum sheets like I did. Place the pretzels on the sheet. Place a Rolo on top of each pretzel.
Place in the oven for about 5 minutes. Push a nut into each Rolo as soon as they come out of the oven, pressing lightly. Place in the refrigerator to harden. Keep in an airtight container if you have any left after they taste them.

Here is what you will need:

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.

Unwrap the Rolos

Place the pretzels on a cookie sheet

Count out the number of pretzels
and count out the number of nuts you will need
set aside

Place a Rolo on top of each Pretzel

Place the pretzels and Rolos in the oven for about 5 minutes

Remove from the oven, and immediately,
push nut onto the top of each Rollo,

gently, but enough to make the Rolo burst a little

You could use any nut you want, I like cashews and pecans

Place in the refrigerator to harden

Place on a serving place

Enjoy!

Warning: These may be hazardous to your weight...do not, I repeat, do not,
get on a scale after eating!

  3. HI Lisa,

Thanks for the tip, Lauren doesn't like nuts , so I will try that version for her. I did do some of the new Mint M & M 's with the Rolos and they were quite good too.
